space echo - the mystery behind the “cosmic sound” of cabo verde finally revealed! in the spring of 1968 a cargo ship was preparing to leave the port of baltimore with an important shipment of musical instruments. its final destination was rio de janeiro, where the emse exhibition (exposição mundial do son eletrônico) was going to be held

italian based label space echo recordings starts with its first vinyl release containing some wicked electronica material for spacy nights.

after the very successful foray into split eps, luv shack records continues to explore this concept with luv013. the ep sees upcoming duo space echo make a return after their smash hit -soul power-, while the b-side is conducted by wahlberliner rotciv. -come back home-, the opening track by space echo, is a slowly building but effortlessly captivating piece of hypnotic house music with a raw funk attitude. the gently evolving synth line and the strong vocal hook are the spine of this anthemic track. the seemingly laid back -hangover- just oozes b-movie sleaze and might be space echos little hommage to 60 s lounge music, with an array of distorted guitars and soft pads coming to good use. that is until the synth theme kicks in mid-track and turns the piece into a late night weapon.

with release nr. 11, luv shack records are once again eager to exalt the diversity of their releases, while keeping up the quality. luv011 is the split ep of the two up and coming electronic music duos manhooker and space echo. whilst both projects are still relatively new to the scene, they have equally made a stir with their first releases. manhooker consists of the two berliners by choice tomasz guido switala and sebastian mavin magassouba. their first release appeared on ostgut ton s sublabel unterton and their second ep was recently released on german heavy hitters sonar kollektiv - a collab with ex new yorker snax, featuring a remix by justus köhnke.

mind-blowing pure and crafty techno killer tunes from well known samuli kemppi. he released on ostgut ton, pakkas-levyt, frozen north, and now on prologue! his beats in >droning< step in like the usual ones, but all of a sudden it turns into something new making your feet stomping behaviorally. circling and clanking sound chasing from left to right and up and down, right into your hypothesis - to activate the whole body. no change with the b-ones. perfect electronic music hand-picked from prologue! trust us and cover your heads! no one can hear your echo ...

180g vinyl! the summer of 2008, the echo inspectors are touring germany. one of their stops lands them in koln, after getting their fix of record shopping at kompakt they would meet up at a local bar with pawas who just remixed their latest record. joining the guys for a mid afternoon beer would be local producer and friend of pawas, adam kroll. fast forward to 2020 and adam would reappear on the radar as adam k.roll with a fresh new dub sound, completely different to the minimal techno records of the mid 2000s. this fresh take on dub would capture the interest of the echo inspectors. many dms later would lead to adam producing five fresh tunes for primary colours. trying to describe adams music is not easy. adam seamlessly blends the sounds of dub techno, ambience, electronica, jamaican dub and an infusion of summer island sounds. primary colours has the honour of re-releasing one of their favourite adam k.roll tunes, into the ocean, initially released digitally on adams on bandcamp page, into the ocean has been reborn on wax. we loved it so much that we got the echo inspectors to remix it into a formidable dub techno groover. kick back, sip on a fine whiskey, light a little number and immerse your aural senses to the sounds of the final call.
